As I venture into the wedding planning for our wedding along with being in the industry for 12 years now, I know the importance of reducing wedding stress. So here I am creating content to try to help you through this process, even if we aren't a great fit for eachother I'm happy for you and excited to help in any way I can.
The perfect combination of travel, education, photography and friendships! For and Alberta photographer this was an excellent opportunity to explore close to home. Only a few hours west of Calgary in gorgeous Golden BC. This weekend retreat was exactly what was needed after a summer off of work to take care of my dad.
It was held by the amazing Rhiannon Sarah Photography. She found us the most adorable quaint cabin in the woods with the most amazing views of the Rocky Mountains. We spent the first morning hiking for hours to find the perfect spot for the workshop/styled shoot. Then it was back to the cabin to get ready to hike back down with all the details, models and of course all our camera gear! We sure got our workout that day….. it was the most fast paced incredible day.
For me this was the opportunity to have my camera in hand again, slow it down and shoot some film, shoot different angles (I really missed my step ladder though). It was a breath of fresh air meeting 7 photographers for the first time then shooting together and we all jived so well with one another… it was as though we knew each other for years. We had 3 models to work with, plenty of details and the most gorgeous backdrop you could ask for!
Here are the high lights from the retreat weekend:
None of this would have been possible without the hard work of many coming together. Special thanks to these amazing people:
