A couple months ago I had the amazing opportunity to travel to Hawaii and learn from some of the most amazing photographer’s in the world! I also got to meet a lot of new friends along the way. It was a whirlwind of a few days with little to no sleep between learning, shooting and sight seeing … it was jam packed full of so much to do in such little time. This conference, Hi On Life, was created solely by Jenna Leigh Lucia of Jenna Leigh Photography who lives in Hawaii. She managed to set up sunrise and sunset shoot outs where we got to work alongside some of the speakers to shoot these sessions. For me it was the highlight of the trip to work alongside Julie Paisley and Jeremy Chou… my film idols!
If you haven’t been to Oahu it is so unique. There is so much diversity in landscape it is unreal! We did these sessions at Eternity Beach which had a unique lava rock shoreline and it worked out to be perfect for both sunset and sunrise!
Alyssa’s sunrise shoot! She was such a trooper hanging out on those rocks while the rising sun shone on her, thank you for being so awesome. A mix of film and digital:
Here are some of the highlight images of Caressa’s session shot with both a mixture of digital and film.
Thank you so much to the models Caressa Frietz and Alyssa Poland for being so amazing and patient with all of us! The sessions were designed and styled by Stacy Childers , the incredible florals were provided by Jeff Alencastre.
